Public Notice is hereby given that the 2026 General Assessment Roll, for The Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes, has been delivered to the Municipal Office at 211-3rd Street S., Belmont, Manitoba and is open for public inspection during regular business hours. Applications for revision may be made in accordance with sections 42 & 43 of The Assessment Act.
APPLICATION FOR REVISION
42 (1) A person in whose name property has been assessed, a mortgagee in possession of property under section 114 (1) of The Real Property Act, an occupier of premises who is required under the term of a lease to pay the taxes on the property, or the Assessor may make application for the revision of an assessment roll with respect to;
a) liability to taxation; b) amount of an assessed value; c) classification of property; or d) a refusal by an assessor to amend the Assessment Roll under subsection 13(2).
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
43 (1) An application for revision must;
a) be made in writing; b) set out the roll number and legal description of the assessable property for which a revision is sought; c) set out which of the matters referred to in subsection 42(1) are at issue, and the grounds for each of those matters; and d) be filed by
I. delivering it or cause it to be delivered to the Municipal office indicated in the public notice given under subsection 41 (2); or II. serving it upon the secretary, at least 15 days before the scheduled sitting date of the board as indicated in the public notice.
The Board of Revision will sit on November 10th, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Council Chambers of The Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes to hear applications.
The final date on which applications must be received by the Secretary of the Board is Monday, October 27th, 2025 at 4:00pm.

Manitoba Assessment Notices - POSTAL DISRUPTION
NOTICE: 2026 Assessment Notices - POSTAL DISRUPTION
Due to the nationwide postal disruption, effective September 25, 2025, the delivery of printed assessment notices may be delayed. Property owners can find their 2026 assessment through one of the following alternate options:
• Visit Manitoba Assessment Online (MAO) to view 2026 assessments once they are posted; click the links below for your municipality's Notice dates and appeal deadlines: • Manitoba Assessment Online - Property Search - no password or User ID is required to view land, building, and total assessments. • Notice dates per municipality • Appeal deadline dates per municipality • Create a MyPropertyMB account to view their assessment and property details online, via MyPropertyMB • Call or email their District Assessment Office: Property Assessment Services District offices. Property owners may also contact their district Property Assessment Services office to arrange for emailing of an electronic notice or pick-up of a printed assessment notice during the postal disruption. • Municipalities post public notice annually when assessment rolls are available for public viewing, including the deadline for filing appeals and the date of their board of revision. Property owners may call or email their municipal office to inquire if and when the 2026 Assessment Roll is available for public viewing, and for appeal deadlines. • Municipalities will be provided with 2026 assessment notices according to the notice schedule provided in the link above. If requested by a resident, municipalities may choose to print notices for property owners to pick up at their local municipal office. • Please note that the mailing of assessment notices will commence once regular mail service resumes, however, the notices will continue to reference appeal deadlines that may have passed.
