NOTICE OF ELECTION
RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF PRAIRIE LAKES
Notice is hereby given that a vote of the RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF PRAIRIE LAKES will be taken to elect a Reeve and Councillors from the following duly nominated candidates:
For the office of Reeve:
• Cameron, Kevin
• Vallotton, Armand
For the office of Councillor, Ward 5
• Ledoyen, Shaun
• Gillingham, Andrew
• Taylor, Katherine
For the office of Councillor, Ward 2:
• Jansen, Doug
• Krushelniski, Kelly
• Beaulieu, Jacques
For the office of Councillor, Ward 6
• Durham, Rod
• Hiebert, Tim
The following duly nominated candidates are hereby declared elected by acclamation and no vote will be required:
• For the office of Councillor, Ward 1: LaBossiere, Rebecca
• For the office of Councillor, Ward 3: Cuvelier, Trent
• For the office of Councillor, Ward 4: MacKay, Michael
• For the office of Ninette LUD Committee: Treloar, Leanne and Simpson, Daniel
ELECTION DAY VOTING LOCATIONS
Voting places will be open for voting on Wednesday, October 28th, 2026, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM at:
Reeve, Wards 5 and 6 Belmont Drop In Centre, 117 3rd Street S, Belmont MB
Reeve, Ward 2 Ninette Community Hall, 158 Queen Street, Ninette MB
IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE. A person may be required to produce one piece of government-issued photo identification (for example - driver’s licence or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.
ADVANCE VOTING LOCATIONS
For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend the voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be held:
Tuesday, October 20, 2026 between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
Reeve, Wards 2, 5 and 6 RM of Prairie Lakes Municipal Office, 211 3rd Street S, Belmont MB
APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE
A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place on Election Day or to vote in advance may apply in person, in writing, or by email to the Senior Election Official or designate at the RM of Prairie Lakes office, 211 3rd Street S, Belmont MB R0K 0C0.
The application form is available for download from the website at rmofprairielakes.ca on the home page under Elections. You may request to vote by sealed envelope until October 25, 2026.
